The Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) is expected to retain Col. Roland Bulalacao as its officer in charge—for the time being.
This comes as the Police Regional Office 6 has made no personnel movements more than a week after Election Day.
Brig. Gen. Jack Wanky, Western Visayas police chief, said he could not confirm whether higher headquarters would assign a new IPPO director soon.
He also said there is no indication yet if Col. Bayani Razalan will return to his previous post.
“For now, status quo muna,” Wanky said.
“Everything else will normalize probably when the PNP chief retires, or if his term is extended,” he added, referring to Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil.
Razalan was relieved as IPPO director a day before the May 12 midterm elections.
Bulalacao, the PRO-6 chief of regional staff, was named IPPO’s officer in charge shortly after.
Razalan was reassigned as officer in charge of the Regional Personnel and Records Management Division.
He replaced Col. Winston de Belen, who was temporarily relieved while facing an administrative investigation.
