IPOPHL enters elite AGAP Hall of Fame with 3rd Outstanding Accounting Office Award

The Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines has been inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Association of Government Accountants of the Philippines, Inc. (AGAP), following its third win of the Outstanding Accounting Office Award in 2026.
The annual award, conferred upon the recommendation of the Commission on Audit (COA), recognizes the quality, timeliness and accuracy of IPOPHL’s financial reports for the preceding year. COA’s financial audit is conducted in accordance with the International Standards of Supreme Audit Institutions (ISSAIs), which provide the framework for assessing whether financial statements are fairly presented in accordance with the applicable financial reporting standards.
IPOPHL Director General Teodoro C. Pascua, Director Frisco L. Guce, Chief-of-Staff Ednalyn R. Saron and representatives from the agency’s Financial Management and Administrative Service (FMAS) received the award during AGAP’s Annual Convention in Mabalacat City, Pampanga on Tuesday.
The recognition reflects IPOPHL’s sustained commitment to transparency, accountability and responsible financial management, according to DG Pascua.
“Financial integrity has been a cornerstone of IPOPHL’s commitment to good governance, ensuring that we can sustain our operations as a self-funded agency and maintain the financial capacity to fulfill our mandate. Through sound financial management, we can continue to deliver quality services to the public,” he said.
AGAP is a national organization for government accountants, budget officers, supply officers and cashiers from national government agencies, local government units and government-owned or controlled corporations. (Rawl Maliwat, Communications & Marketing Writer)
