After five highly-competitive sets, the ILOPRISAA secondary girls showed composure and a more varied type of attack after nipping the 3rd congressional district in the 2019 Iloilo Schools Sports Council Meet championship match, 25-12, 23-25, 17-25, 25-17, 15-10.
Climbing back from a 1-2 set deficit, the ILOPRISAA squad relied on their more versatile style of play that put them back within striking distance of the match.
Despite lacking the height advantage, the ILORPISAA squad also had an excellent defensive showing, flirting with their well-timed blocks that also allowed them to cope up with the comeback they managed.
The size advantage 3rd district possessed was negated by the ILOPRISAA team as they scored numerous times from corner drop balls that fooled the defense.
During the fifth and final set, the momentum swung all the way to ILORPISAA as they were off to a hot start, 9-3.
The 3rd district squad never recovered and were edged by the girls in blue and red.
