ILONGGO Edgar Charcos of the University of Perpetual Altas garnered his first player of the week award of his NCAA career.
With the Altas suffering a three-game skid, Charcos propelled the team over Arellano University.
Charcos sank the game-winning floater with 3 seconds left in the clock, giving them a 75-73 win in one of the most nail-biting games of the season.
He finished with 15 points in the ball game with 5 assists and 2 rebounds.
With Charcos’ performance, the Altas improved to 2-3.
Altas legendary coach Frankie Lim applauded Charcos’ heroics and his desire to win, as he let the Ilonggo guard operate in the dying seconds, drawing the play for him that resulted in a crucial win.
