In a compassionate gesture, 40 persons with disabilities (PWDs) from 20 municipalities in the Iloilo provinces were the beneficiaries of wheelchairs and assistive devices on February 13, distributed at the Iloilo Provincial Capitol.
The participating municipalities included Ajuy, Alimodian, Badiangan, Banate, Calinog, Dingle, Dumangas, Dueñas, Estancia, Leon, Maasin, Mina, Miag-ao, New Lucena, Oton, Passi City, San Enrique, San Miguel, Sta. Barbara, and Tubungan.
This provision marks the first of such distributions for the year, led by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office’s (PSWDO) PWD Focal Person Rara Ganzon, PSWDO Chief Sarah Barayuga, Provincial Administrator Dr. Raul Banias, and delegates from a religious church group.
