Iloilo police arrest two provincial most wanted suspects

ILOILO — Police Regional Office 6 arrested Iloilo’s Top 3 and Top 4 provincial-level most wanted persons in separate manhunt operations on Sept. 17, 2026, in Dumangas and Leon.
The arrests involved two men wanted on statutory rape charges, with courts issuing warrants for both suspects on Sept. 15 and recommending no bail for their temporary release.
At about 1:18 p.m., authorities arrested alias “Jun-Jun,” 37, single, and a resident of Barotac Viejo, Iloilo, at P.D. Monfort North in Dumangas.
Police identified “Jun-Jun” as Iloilo’s Top 3 provincial-level most wanted person.
The operation was led by the Technical Support Company of Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6, with support from the RMFB6 Battalion Headquarters, Dumangas Municipal Police Station, and Regional Intelligence Unit 6.
Authorities served warrants of arrest against “Jun-Jun” for three counts of statutory rape.
The warrants were issued by the Family Court, Branch 6, in Dumangas, Iloilo, on Sept. 15, 2026.
No bail was recommended for his temporary liberty.
Later that day, at about 3:45 p.m., police arrested alias “Janjan,” 22, single, and a resident of Leon, Iloilo, in Barangay Poblacion, Leon.
Police identified “Janjan” as Iloilo’s Top 4 provincial-level most wanted person.
The Leon Municipal Police Station conducted the operation with the Criminal Investigation Team of Regional Intelligence Unit 6.
The arrest was carried out through a warrant for statutory rape under Article 266-A, Paragraph 1, in relation to Article 266-B of the Revised Penal Code.
The Regional Trial Court, Branch 32, in Iloilo City issued the warrant on Sept. 15, 2026.
No bail was recommended.
PRO6 Regional Director PBGen Randulf T. Tuaño commended the operating and intelligence units for their coordinated efforts.
“Ang mabilis na pagtugon at agarang pagkilos ng ating mga operatiba, katuwang ang maayos na intelligence gathering at koordinasyon ng mga yunit, ang naging susi sa pagkakaaresto sa dalawang wanted person. Patuloy nating paiigtingin ang ating manhunt operations upang matiyak na ang mga indibidwal na may warrant of arrest ay agad na maiharap sa hukuman at managot sa ilalim ng batas,” ani PBGen Tuaño.
Both accused are in the custody of the Dumangas and Leon municipal police stations for proper disposition and subsequent court proceedings.
