THE Iloilo Mark V. Pinggol (MVP) taekwondo gym impressed and caught the attention of national taekwondo athletes in the 2019 Best of the Best Championships held at the Ayala malls, Manila Bay.
In the Poomsae individual category, Julianna Martha Uy bagged the gold medal while Niesha Kariz Pequierda, Crisgel Castro, Cyd Edryc Esmaña, and Joshua Cachero all notched bronze medals.
Meanwhile, in the Elementary team Poomsae category, the trio of Pequierda, Uy, and Castro helped the MVP gym win the bronze medal the same with the pair of Cachero and Rozennie Zane Tameta for the Junior Mixed pair category.
For the Kyurogi category, Sophia Grace Go, Angela Joy Bermejo, and Sheine Nicole De Asis clinched silver medals, while Ronald Kyle Pico was a quarter-finalist.
