The Iloilo Mark V. Pinggol (MVP) taekwondo gym indeed saved their best for last.
After a series of impressive national tournament stints, the prized gym collected 25 medals, one of their highest number of medals acquired in one tourney, during the 2020 SMART/MVPSF National Taekwondo Inter-School Speed Kicking Championships.
During the Speed Kicking tourney, Alicia Sophia Gutierrez, Andria Margaret Palabrica, Maria Beatriz Santos, Margarette Gem Obsequio, Phil Andrew Margarico, Alexis Araneta, Cyd Edryc Esmaña, and Angela Bermejo gave their all and earned gold medals in their respective categories.
Meanwhile, Akimeh Demavivas, Sheine Nicole De Asis, Viene Marie Dulaca, Shires Postolero, Phil Caleb Regalado, James Annrhey Pecayco, Marielle Faye Lagamo, and Adriel Elexus Balberona all won silver medals.
Alyanah Julienne Tionko, Adrian Emmanuel Zerandin, Denzel Espadilla, Jeremiah Miguel Ong, Ma. Glaiza Fae Cordero, Christian Pudadera, Niesha Kariz Pequierda, Jannah Ysabel Velez, and Sophia Grace Go added bronze medals to the MVP gym tally.
“The last dance for this year. Saved the best for last gid sir,” said Mr. MVP himself in an exclusive interview with the Daily Guardian.
