In the Blitz category, GM Rogelio Antonio Jr., Karl Victor Ochoa, NM Cesar Mariano, Fritz Bryan Porras, Dennis Bernas, and NM John Michael Silvederio notched dominating victories to garner an overall score of 6-1.
Meanwhile, in the Rapid category, WFM Cherry Ann Mejia, Mark Jossel Mariano, Silvederio, Porras, and Bernas racked up wins and also led over Palawan with a 9-5 overall score.
In the final results, the Kisela Knights led by a large margin of 15-6 and declared day one of the PCAP tournament as the start of their journey of claiming the PH chess board glory.
The Ilonggos are back at it again this coming Wednesday, January 20, 2021 as they take on the mighty Toledo City Chess Miners in the first round and the Cebu City Machers in the second round.
