After a much-needed victory against the Biñan City Luxxe White Krah, the Iloilo United Royals are looking to sweep their last two remaining games to ensure their first MPBL playoffs berth.
The United Royals will look to cruise past the Sarangani Marlins and will try to rack up their second consecutive victory.
Despite the team issues the Marlins had in the early part of the league, they are slowly progressing together and are trying to notch every win they can as the worst team in the MPBL right now.
The United Royals have all the momentum coming into the match as they shot the lights out against Biñan with 11 made three-pointers, five coming from star-shooter, Al Francis Tamsi.
The consistent performances of both Richard Escoto and Rey Publico were also keys to the game, helping Tamsi on the offensive end with their double-figure production.
If Iloilo manages to win, they will move up to the fourth spot of the South division and will punch an early ticket to the MPBL playoffs as the best expansion team in the league.
Both squads will clash today, 6:45 PM at Malolos Convention.
