Iloilo City received a special citation as the Most Business-Friendly Local Government Unit (LGU) in the country outside Metro Manila. The city was the only LGU in Visayas that received the citation.
Two other local government units from Iloilo clinched two major awards, the towns of Mina and Concepcion. They received citation as the Most Business-Friendly LGU in the Municipality Level (3rd-5th Classes) in the entire country.
Likewise, PCCI-Iloilo Chapter, headed by its Chairman Dr. Sandra Gomez and President Atty. Jobert Penaflorida was also recognized for its regional response during the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic.
Meanwhile, Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas said the citation will push him to do more for the best of Iloilo City.
“I am grateful to receive the citation. This recognition is an inspiration for me to do more for the city,”
