And it’s that time of the Iloilo basketball calendar again.
Another year, another new Iloilo City Basketball Club (ICBC) conference kicked off.
On Feb. 28, 2026, the ICBC annual basketball tournament officially began its first conference of the year, held at the Monterosa Subdivision basketball gym in Mandurriao, Iloilo City.
“To our incredible players, your passion, resilience, and sportsmanship both on and off the court continue to inspire us all,” said ICBC President Jon Saracanlao.
“The growth, discipline, and camaraderie you show each conference remind us why ICBC is more than just a league; it is a true basketball family.”
As the ICBC competition grows larger, new teams have also formalized their entries this year, namely Saiko Ramen & Sushi, Ewoks/Owheels/Dakada Coffee, and Team JTY Fish Broker.
Completing the list of the participating teams in the ICBC first conference are Red Hammer Construction, EVG Commercial, Medal Sportswear, Amxa, BAC Fire Industrial Supplies, FABS Pet Grooming Services/Pantone Prints/BR Garcia Construction, Aquasure, Kirk Hardware, Game Changer, Malikhain Sportswear, and Conte Builders.
Seeking a title repeat and another ICBC golden chip is Team Pavia Hardware/3ES Logistics, the league’s second conference kings.
After the short opening program, a double-header matchup immediately highlighted the first day with Ewoks/Dakada going up against FABS/Pantone, while Medal Sportswear squared off against EVG Commercial.
In the first game, Ewoks/Dakada got the better of FABS/Pantone, 79-71, with Deneib Grinn Jamola earning Best Player of the Game honors after dropping 25 points.
The last scheduled game featured an efficient performance from Rush Rubin, delivering 20 markers for Medal Sportswear in its 78-72 victory over EVG Commercial.
“We also extend our appreciation to MESUCA Philippines for being our official game ball partner, and to Daily Guardian for being our official media partner. Your support strengthens the foundation of ICBC,” Saracanlao added.
