378 applicants tried their luck on the first day of recruitment screening of the BJMP in Iloilo alone.
This is part of the massive employment of BJMP to address the burgeoning number of persons deprived of liberty (PDL) all over the Philippines and the rapid construction of new jail facilities that requires additional manpower.
Jail Superintendent Peremne, Assistant Regional Director for Administration, said the BJMP eyes to hire 2,000 jail officers.
“We need 2,000 professionals to join the roster of the BJMP all over the Philippines and we are hoping to find some of the best and finest in Region 6”, Peremne said.
The first day of screening was held at the covered gym in Buhang, Jaro, Iloilo City on January 15, 2020.
The BJMP management is aiming to conduct series of more recruitment in the following days. (Leomel H. Pasquin/BJMP-CRS6)
