The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Region VI will hold the Regional Dissemination Forum on the 2019 Economic Performance of Western Visayas on Nov 23, 2020 at 9:30 am. via Zoom.
The Regional Dissemination Forum aims to present the 2017-2019 Regional Accounts of the Philippines that comprise the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) and the Gross Regional Domestic Expenditure (GRDE).
Event participants shall be apprised on the overall regional economic performance for 2019.
The economic performance of regional economy for 2017-2019 as measured by GRDP and GRDE will be presented by PSA VI Officer-in-Charge Marlene Y. Alviar, while the “Statement on the Policy Implications of the 2019 GRDP/GRDE Estimates to the Region’s Development” will be delivered by NEDA VI Regional Director Ro-Ann A. Bacal, the major resource person of the event.
Expected participants are representatives from the Regional Line Agencies, Local Government Units, members of the Regional Statistics Committee VI, stakeholders, policy makers and program planners both from government and private sectors, members of the academe, and the media.
PSA is mandated by law to generate and disseminate the economic performance of the country. This year’s regional dissemination forum will be conducted in November for all 17 regions nationwide.
