‘High-valued personality’ faces illegal drug raps

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 37-year-old man is facing illegal drug charges following his arrest Friday, Feb. 4, 2022 in a drug buy-bust operation conducted by the Provincial Police Drug Enforcement Unit (PPDEU), Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) of Pilar, and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 6 at Brgy. Rosario Pilar, Capiz.
Police identified the suspect as Michael Bernas of Brgy. Dulangan, Pilar.
PNP records indicated that Bernas is No. 8 in the PNP-PDEA Provincial Target List.
Recovered from Bernas were two sachets of suspected shabu, a Yamaha motorcycle, and the P3,500 marked money.
He is presently detained at Pilar police station while charges for violation of Republic Act No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) will be filed against him today, Feb. 7, before the Capiz Provincial Prosecutors Office.
