The Province of Guimaras was cited by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) for obtaining highly functional rating during the 2022 Regional Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) Performance Awards held last January 31, 2023 at Diversion 21 Hotel in Iloilo City.
The Province of Guimaras was recognized for its exemplary efforts in the performance of its duties in complementing the government’s anti-illegal drug campaign during the 2021 ADAC Performance Audit and passing the ADAC Awarding Assessment.
The province’s ADAC garnered a performance rating of 87% during the 2021 ADAC Performance Audit.
Guimaras was likewise cited as a national awardee with a Plaque of Recognition conferred to the province during the regional awarding ceremony.
The ADACS of the municipalities of Buenavista, Jordan, and Nueva Valencia were likewise cited for its exemplary performance.
The ADAC Performance Awards recognizes the efforts of the local government units in complementing the anti-illegal drug campaign of the national government.
The criteria for determining the functionality of the ADACs include the Barangay Drug Abuse Council (BADAC) functionality, drug clearing, and reduction of drug affected areas in the community.
