The blessings keep on pouring for the Iloilo City Sports Academy.
After receiving balikbayan boxes of tennis balls, rackets, shoes, and chocolates for the kids’ energy boost for training, another good Samaritan handed help to the Iloilo City’s Sports Academy program by Executive Assistant for Sports Mr. Rudiver Jungco Sr.
Through the initiative of one of the lawn tennis organizers of the sports program coach Alquinn Flores, additional windbreakers were donated to the La Paz tennis court where the training is being held.
Two sets of 25-meter windbreakers from Head, one of the most popular brands in tennis, were set up in the tennis court.
The windbreaker’s purpose is to block the wind from disrupting the flight of the ball.
Also, windbreakers can reduce the sun’s glare on the court which could impair the players’ vision during the match.
