The Golden State Warriors endured Devin Booker’s 38-point explosion to take down the Phoenix Suns, 118-107, during their Western Conference Clásico matchup in the ongoing NBA regular season on Nov. 5, 2025.
With the much-needed victory, Golden State ended its two-game losing streak and is now back in the NBA win column with a win-loss record of 4-3.
Despite leading by double digits for the majority of the game, the Warriors had to press the emergency button when Booker almost single-handedly brought the Suns back.
From trailing by as much as 25 points, Booker dropped 17 points alone in the third quarter to pull Phoenix to within just nine points before the fourth frame kicked off.
When the Warriors entered a brief period of scoring drought, the superstar guard put the Suns on his back and went sicko mode, scoring the leather, cashing in his signature pull-up shots from the midrange, and attacking the rim, which put immense pressure on the frontcourt rotation of Golden State.
Phoenix was more than in striking distance when Oso Ighodaro scored a floater to open the Suns’ fourth-quarter campaign on a high note, but a counter-avalanche from the Warriors narrowed their chances of a comeback.
In the next four minutes of action, the Warriors dropped the hammer and staged a demoralizing 15-3 run that ballooned their lead back to 19 points, 107-88.
Unfortunately for Phoenix, Booker’s offensive production slowed down, while Grayson Allen and the rest entered a rough shooting patch, allowing the Warriors to break the game wide open and protect their double-digit advantage.
Stephen Curry paced Golden State with 28 points built from five three-pointers, alongside four rebounds, three assists, a steal, and a block.
Moses Moody, who spearheaded the Warriors’ 15-3 run in the fourth, delivered his best offensive game of the season with 24 markers built from an efficient 7-of-11 shooting from the field.
It was Golden State’s veteran forward who sparked the run, burying two crucial treys while converting a contested layup that extended their cushion back to double digits.
On the other hand, Booker’s 38-point explosion wasn’t enough to put the Suns above .500 in the standings.
His scoring masterclass surpassed his 36-point effort against the Utah Jazz and is now his new offensive season-high record.
The Warriors will only have a few hours left before returning to the hardwood today against the Sacramento Kings, while the Suns seek to bounce back on Nov. 7 against the Los Angeles Clippers.
