Clarence John Gabito of Buenavista National High School led his squad to a neck-and-neck victory over Trinidad V. Canja- Sta. Teresa NHS, 77-74, in the ongoing NBTC-Guimaras qualifiers.
It was a trade of firepower as both squads put on their best performance unwilling to let go of their grip on the game.
Gabito of BNHS chalked up 17 huge points and four dimes that led BNHS to a cardiac win and enough to earn him the best player of the day.
In the other games, Doctor Catalino G. Nava NHS crushed Agsanayan NHS, 77-61, Jordan NHS man-handled East Valencia NHS, 69-44, Simeon J. Jabasa NHS prevailed over Nueva Valencia NHS, 72-66, Cabalagnan NHS routed the St. Joseph School Hijas De Jesus, 85-56, and the Philippine College of Business and Accountancy squad nipped the Good Sheperd’s Fold Academy, 83-81.
The NBTC-Guimaras is sponsored by SM, Chooks to Go, Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP), Go for Gold, Molten, Vivo, Smart, Cignal, Darlington, Exped, and ESPN 5.
