GAB ostracizes Global FC over unpaid salaries

The Games and Amusements Board decided to put former Philippines Football League (PFL) participant Global FC in the blacklist due to non-payment of salaries of its players and employees.

The team was given time to fix the mess after several players and employees of the club came over to the PFL and raise their complaints against Global.

The former players and the unpaid staff of the team reached out to the PFL again and claimed that not a single penny was given to them within the grace period.

GAB Chairman Abraham Mitra added that team manager Mark Jarvis has yet to release his reply to the allegations.

If Global FC fails to put out any statement and if they will not even act on the issue, their club license will be revoked and suspended.

“We are unhappy about what happened and we are acting on the complaint of the players whose livelihood and careers have been affected. I hope this serves as a deterrent and lesson to others who may do the same. GAB’s mandate is to look after the welfare of our professional athletes and we intend to do just that,” Mitra said.
