A former Red Lion has turned into a Green Archer.
San Beda’s scoring machine will now officially bleed green.
In a stunning turn of events on Feb. 4, 2026, former San Beda Red Lions superstar and NCAA champion Janti Miller officially jumped ship, joining the De La Salle University (DLSU) Green Archers in the UAAP.
Through his official Instagram account, the 6-foot-5 combo guard posted a graphic poster wearing a DLSU jersey with the caption: “Let’s do it. #committed”
However, Miller will still undergo the UAAP’s mandatory one-year residency for transferring players and will be eligible to suit up for the Green Archers when Season 90 kicks off.
Miller followed in the footsteps of Jacob Cortez, who also left the Red Lions’ lair for the Green Archers a season after leading the NCAA school to the championship.
With the departure of star guard Kean Baclaan, who decided to turn professional, Miller’s arrival will maintain DLSU’s level of firepower and boost the squad’s length in the backcourt.
According to multiple sources, the Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) Blue Eagles and the University of the Philippines (UP) Fighting Maroons also vied for Miller.
Miller quickly turned heads in his first eligible season with the Red Lions, averaging 20.35 points, 6.41 rebounds and 1.06 steals throughout NCAA Season 101.
Rumors of Miller leaving San Beda made noise in December 2025, when he was spotted in the stands with the DLSU crowd during the UAAP grand finals series.
Despite differing versions of his collegiate decision circulating, Miller reiterated several reasons why he wanted to transfer — particularly how the NCAA treated him when the playoffs started.
Miller cried foul when the NCAA board slapped him with a suspension in Game 2 against Letran after he received two flopping technical violations in Game 1.
As a result, the NCAA Mythical Team member could only watch and feel helpless as he was sidelined in Game 2.
Fortunately, San Beda made a rousing comeback to seal the series with a 2-0 sweep.
