BACOLOD City – The public will soon enjoy free coffee once the Coffee with Love ordinance takes effect in the city in October.
The ordinance authored by Councilor Carl Lopez stipulated policies and guidelines in designating Ylac Street in Barangay Villamonte as a “Coffee District”.
The ordinance said Ylac Street is known for numerous coffee shops patronized by the people in Bacolod, as well as those from nearby cities such as Talisay, Silay, and Bago, thus it should be named the Coffee District of Bacolod.
Lopez said the ordinance will promote Bacolod coffee and its culture and arts.
