Four Negrenses caught with fake vax cards

BACOLOD City – Charges await four individuals from Sagay City, Negros Occidental, who reportedly presented fake vaccination cards to their employer on Dec 7, 2021.

Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Executive Director Em Ang, said the four individuals stated on their vaccination cards that they were inoculated at SM City Bacolod.

Thus, the employer of these individuals checked with the City Health Office (CHO) if their claims were authentic.

In an interview with Aksyon Radyo Bacolod, Ang said the employer doubted the details on the cards, considering that their company has provided vaccines for their employees.

Upon verification, it was found out that the vaccination cards were fake and were believed to be ‘photoshopped.’

Ang said the EOC can immediately verify vaccination cards, so there’s no reason for people to fake them.

“It’s a very serious offense,” Ang said, adding that the case was already referred to the City Legal Office for appropriate action against the four individuals.

“They can be fired from work, and may face charges for falsification of documents,” Ang said.

Employees, especially those working on site jobs, are required to be fully vaccinated against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), or else they will have to undergo a swab test every two weeks at their own expense, in compliance with the national Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) mandate.
