The JB Amateur Basketball League Elite division season II will be taking over Iloilo in just a few months and player additions and acquisitions are already abuzz in the hoop community.
Jim Sencil, a former player of the Manila Sausage Kings in the Community Basketball Association, will be taking his talents to the league.
Sencil was acquired by team Pepsi, formerly Team Hiyang Filinvest, and is expected to bring immediate impact with his skill level and experience from the national level.
An alumnus of the Hercor College Jaguars, Sencil was a former high school standout from Sun Yat Sen who brought a grand slam championship to the school from Milo passerelle, ISAA, and ILORPISAA.
Sencil also was a part of the Hercor roster who ruled the Capiz PRISAA for five straight years, failing to drop a single title game.
There were also blockbuster deals in the JB league including Jayjay Guanzon’s departure from team OJNA to the Asialink/E&C Trucking squad, versatile big man John Rey Serra from Malditos to OJNA, Jessie Sullano from Malditos to ODM, Wilmer Dalumpines from Asialink to ODM, and Mark Hermano from ODM to Pepsi.
