Another product of the Hua Siong College of Iloilo Red Phoenix is making waves in the UAAP.
Reynold Tupas, who was recruited by the De La Salle Santiago Zobel Junior Archers from Hua Siong, ended the game against Adamson scoring 13 huge points and 6 boards despite the overtime loss.
An explosive and athletic guard way back during his stint with the Red Phoenix, Tupas got to the cup several times against the tough Adamson defense including three breakaway layups.
His strong showing earned him quality minutes on the floor including a three that sparked a Junior Archers run climbing back from a 16-point deficit.
Tupas’ presence on the court ignited a much-needed confidence booster for his teammates as his tenaciousness and aggressiveness was carried over by his team to the second half.
Bit by bit, Tupas is making his own mark in the game as one of the fastest and most deceptive slashers in the UAAP juniors history.
