BACOLOD CITY — The Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office (NORPPO) installed new police chiefs to strengthen leadership and enhance service across key police stations in the province.
Police Col. Criscente Tiguelo, NORPPO director, led the turnover ceremony Monday at the provincial headquarters, highlighting the agency’s commitment to continuity, operational excellence and community-focused policing.
Police Lt. Col. Ser Ulrick Christian Gelera was assigned to the Guihulngan City Police Station, replacing Police Lt. Col. Lirio Coral.
For the Tanjay City Police Station, Police Lt. Romeo Cubo assumed the post vacated by Police Lt. Col. Roland Desiree Lavisto, while Police Maj. Ranie Bantolio succeeded Police Maj. Nelson Lamoco in the Mabinay Municipal Police Station.
Lavisto was transferred to the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company as its new commander, replacing Bantolio.
Lamoco was reassigned to the Siaton Municipal Police Station, replacing Police Capt. Benjamin Fuentes Jr., while the Amlan Municipal Police Station is now headed by Police Capt. Nelmer Miravalles, succeeding Police Capt. Dino Padron.
The reshuffling is part of the regular movement of officers in the province, according to the Police Regional Office–Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR).
In a statement, Tiguelo said the new assignments are both an honor and a solemn trust for the officers to lead with integrity, professionalism and unwavering dedication to the communities they serve.
“It is a strategic step to strengthen leadership, enhance operational readiness and build public confidence across Negros Oriental, showcasing the provincial police force’s steadfast commitment to peace, order and responsive, community-centered policing,” he said.
He congratulated the officers, whom he described as capable leaders who will ensure peace and order, build stronger community partnerships and deliver professional and compassionate policing throughout the province.
