A former world title champion returned to the mat and showed everybody that he can still flex and flaunt his skills in the poomsae category of taekwondo.
Ernesto Guzman Jr. was unstoppable and notched the under-40 male individual gold medal during the 2020 virtual World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships.
A former world champion in the under-30 male category seven years ago, the world-renowned Filipino jin hardly missed a step and proved to everyone that he is still at the top of the sport despite his advanced age.
Guzman ousted several big names in the tournament including one of the best in the business, Ji Ho-Yong of South Korea.
The veteran Filipino jin dominated in Taegeuk with a score of 7.38 and showed the same consistency during Taebaek after scoring 7.32.
Co-Filipino jin Jocel Ninobla from the University of Santo Tomas also impressed in the same tournament after managing to put on quite a performance in her showcase to clinch the bronze medal in the female Under-30 division.
