ALL-FILIPINO Dota squad TNC failed to advance to the top 8 after making it to The International 9 stage behind a sweeping loss to Team Liquid in the lower bracket showdown.
After a hot start in the tournament, TNC managed to be in the upper bracket after winning game after game against European giants.
TNC fell to the lower bracket after losing to Vici Gaming. Setting up a showdown with Team Liquid, a team they swept in the eliminations.
TNC found themselves ahead early in the series but the former TI champions out-maneuvered the PH squad in both games, sending them off in the tournament.
Despite the loss, it was TNC’s best ever finish in TI since joining the competition.
