Alex Eala, the Filipina teen sensation who was a scholar of the Rafael Nadal Tennis Academy, punched a ticket to the 2020 Australian Open Juniors main draw.
With her outstanding 2019 outing, Eala ranked up to world No. 9 in the International Tennis Federation Juniors tour.
Capturing a Grade A tournament title in South Africa and an impressive tourney run in the 2019 US Open Juniors main draw, Eala garnered a staggering 1452.50 points that put her in her current ranking.
Ranked as the world’s No. 11 after 2019 ended, Eala’s inclusion in the top 10 assured her of a spot for the 2020 tournament main draws.
For the rest of 2020, Eala will have the chance to compete in another US Open Juniors, a shot for the Wimbledon Juniors, and a Roland Garros Juniors stint.
