Filipina teen tennis sensation Alex Eala will try to make history as the first from the PH to clinch the 2020 French Open Juniors title.
After a career-breakout win in the Australian Open Juniors doubles, the PH ace is looking to add more points to her tally and go up in the world rankings.
Currently at the world no. 4 spot, Eala will be gracing Roland Garros at seed no. 2 and will take on the challenge of going at it against world no.1 Victoria Kasintseva and world no. 6 Elsa Jacquemot.
As of now, Eala registered 1,718.75 points after the Australian Open win and is 211.25 points behind world no. 3 Daria Snigur of Ukraine.
Eala and her team didn’t manage to add up points due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic which halted all tennis tournaments for health and safety protocols.
The Rafael Nadal tennis academy scholar is now seeking to defy the odds and add more trophies to her prized collection once the juniors’ division will kick-off this October 4.
