Filipina Mixed Martial Artist (MMA) Jenelyn Olsim will be making her highly-anticipated return inside the ONE Fighting Championship ring on September 29, 2023.
Olsim last saw action in December 2022 and was ready to break her hiatus when she was called up to square off against Jihin Radzuan to be held in the famous Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Coming off a disappointing loss at the hands of Meng Bo at the undercard of ONE 164: Pacio vs Brooks, Olsim is hungry to redeem herself and earn a title shot in the women’s atomweight division.
The Olsim-Radzuan clash was supposed to go down last year but due to undetermined circumstances, ONE promotion failed to bring the challenger eliminator collision.
Radzuan is also coming off a defeat against the dominant Stamp Fairtex last September 2022, breaking her three-fight winning streak since earning a unanimous decision victory over Bi Nguyen.
With both fighters eager to enter the title fight picture, expect a high-octane clash between two of the best MMA practitioners in the women’s division.
Olsim possesses a different level of ground game and has submitted Maria Mazar and Dolores Meek in her 10-fight professional resume.
However, Olsim failed to continue her momentum after her split decision win over Julie Mezabarba when she got knocked out by Bo.
Bo wreaked havoc on the Filipina and pummeled her with tons of punches and elbows which forced the match referee to stop the fight.
Now that Olsim is in great shape after undergoing intensive training camp since the loss, the Filipina is expected to respond to avoid a two-fight losing streak.
