Filipina-British defender Mayumi “Maz” Pacheco vows to perform her best while taking advantage of the opportunity given to her.
The prized booter was acquired by West Ham United under the Women’s Super League (WSL) and is one of the top women’s football league in England.
Pacheco was widely-known to be one of the most versatile defenders in the WSL and West Ham did not think twice to acquire the Filipina’s services to help boost their squad’s revamped roster.
Placed 8th last season, Pacheco’s arrival will be a huge help for them as one of the veteran booters coming into the team.
At the age of 22, Pacheco was a former England national girls football squad member and cemented her name with the team after delivering two goals while wearing the England jersey.
The elite defender suited up 35 times for the England national team and is expected to blossom more heading into her sixth year in the WSL.
