Farmer electrocuted in Dumarao

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 59-year-old farmer died after he was accidentally electrocuted Friday afternoon, Feb. 11, 2022, at Sitio Buay-Buay, Barangay Malonoy, Dumarao, Capiz.
Police identified the victim as Eduardo Facto Jr., of the said barangays.
According to Antonio Pelagio Leonardo Jr., 69, he saw Facto carrying a steel plow before the incident happened.
He later saw the victim fall to the ground after the steel plow accidentally hit the live wire of an electric motor which led to his electrocution.
Police said Leonardo tried to rescue Facto but he was electrocuted, too, the reason why he sought the help of the village officials.
The victim was taken to the Rural Health Unit but he was declared dead on arrival by the doctor.
Facto suffered minor injuries and is already in good condition.
