The Farm Fresh Foxies are going all out for the upcoming Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference after acquiring the services of Belgium’s Helene Rousseaux, announced on Sept. 19, 2025.
A former key player of the Belgium national volleyball team, Rousseaux was part of the squad that made history in 2013 when they won a bronze medal at the European Championship tournament.
The third-place finish was the maiden podium achievement for Belgium in the history of the European Championship, which also served as a gateway to Rousseaux’s flood of overseas offers to play as an import.
Rousseaux began her playing career in Belgium and Switzerland, where she played as an outside hitter for Vlaams Beloftenteam and VBC Volero Zurich, respectively.
Her stellar two-year run in Switzerland caught the attention of scouts in Poland, where she spent the next four years of her career.
During the midseason of her overseas transition, Rousseaux was named to the Belgium national team and made waves in the European tour.
The powerful spiker would tour around the world and had stops in Italy, South Korea, and France before finding her way to the Farm Fresh lair.
With the addition of veteran duo Riri Meneses and Ces Molina this offseason, the Foxies will seek to have a deeper PVL playoff push, anchored by the offensive prowess of Rousseaux.
Rousseaux will also have a talented local pool of outside hitters behind her, led by Trisha Tubu, Jolina Dela Cruz, Rachel Daquis, and Caitlin Viray.
“Farm Fresh’s bid to rise in the rankings continues as they tap the talents of Belgian outside hitter Helene Rousseaux, or as she prefers it, simply Ely. Let’s do this!” Farm Fresh posted.
