Farm Fresh sweeps Nxled, grabs 1st PVL On Tour win

The Farm Fresh Foxies entered the Premier Volleyball League On Tour win column after dominating the Nxled Chameleons, 25-23, 25-13, 25-22, at the Mindanao Civic Center in Lanao del Norte on Aug. 15, 2026.

After suffering a four-set loss at the hands of the Galeries Tower Highrisers during their opening match, Farm Fresh regrouped and vented its ire from Batangas City to Lanao del Norte.

Farm Fresh escaped a shaky start after letting its 16-11 lead slip away as Nxled stepped up on the defensive end, backstopped by a rejuvenated offense orchestrated by veteran setter Gel Cayuna.

Just when Nxled thought it could maintain momentum, the trio of Ces Molina, Trisha Tubu, and Royse Tubino took matters into their own hands, joining forces to help the Foxies restore order in the most crucial stretch of the first set.

Nerves finally settled down for Farm Fresh after a second-set masterclass, pummeling Nxled in all departments, including an efficient serving game in which it produced four service aces in the period alone.

Things got interesting when Nxled replicated its come-from-behind effort in the third and final set, turning a 14-18 disadvantage into a 22-all deadlock.

With the veterans going cold offensively, the Chameleons relied on their young guns, Jov Fernandez and Lyann de Guzman, who were responsible for helping Nxled level the set and ignite its chances of extending the match.

Fernandez kicked off Nxled’s comeback attempt with back-to-back down-the-line spikes, while de Guzman got crafty with a couple of off-speed hits and drop balls.

Needing someone to step up and seal the deal, Farm Fresh turned to its ever-reliable veteran spiker Molina, who ended the Foxies’ scoring drought with a down-the-line conversion.

The Foxies reached match point off a Fernandez error, while Rizza Cruz iced the game with a service ace that officially put Farm Fresh in the PVL win column.

Molina and Tubu spearheaded Farm Fresh’s win with 16 points apiece, while Tubino chipped in 12 markers and seven excellent digs.

On the other hand, Nxled received a combined 16-point outing from Myla Pablo and MJ Phillips, but it wasn’t enough to steer the Chameleons to their third PVL On Tour victory.

Farm Fresh will look to sustain its momentum on Aug. 22, 2026, against the Capital1 Solar Spikers in a doubleheader in Victorias City, Negros Occidental.
