After dropping their first two games while enduring a banged-up roster, the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers finally got their lineup back in full strength and clinched their first win at the expense of the United Auctioneers Inc.-Army Lady Troopers, 25-17, 25-21, 25-16, in the ongoing 2022 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference.
It was a classic Cargo Movers show as their signature blazing offense and defensive block party were all on full display against the Lady Troopers.
F2 Logistics came in waxing hot in the first set after superstar Lindsay Stalzer was quick to mount a personal scoring run that sparked their offense.
Stalzer continued her dominant play in the next two sets and led all scorers with 24 big points built from 23 successful attacks and 10 excellent receptions.
Despite the injury of outside hitter Kalei Mau who had to leave the game midway due to severe leg cramps, the Cargo Movers didn’t let the game slip away and banked on their balanced attack in the second set.
Ivy Lacsina was a bright spot for the Cargo Movers as the former champion with National University provided the much-needed defensive presence and tallied three blocks to go along with seven points.
Meanwhile, Kim Kianna Dy continued her consistent outing for the Cargo Movers and contributed eight points.
“A win is a win ‘no? Pero ‘yung pinakita doon sa loob, medyo tight pa, medyo pigil pa ‘yung galaw and marami pa ring lapses but we’ll take the win to boost the team’s confidence,” said Cargo Movers coach Benson Bocboc.
Army had the chance to equalize the game in a tightly-contested second set but F2’s poise under pressure rose to the occasion as the trio of Stalzer, Dy, and Lacsina closed the show for the Cargo Movers.
F2 is seeking to nab their second-straight win as they prepare against the PLDT Home Fibr High Speed Hitters next Tuesday, October 25.
