F2 Logistics dominates Foton to book PVL Invitational semifinal ticket

The F2 Logistics Cargo Movers just formalized its semifinal spot in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Invitational Conference after hammering the Foton Tornadoes, 25-18, 25-18, 25-14, last July 18, 2023, held at the Philsports Arena.

F2 wasted no time and quickly buckled down to work in the first set as their offensive firepower proved to be too much for the Tornadoes.

It was also a classic F2 defensive clinic as their tall middle blockers left little room to operate for the Foton attackers.

Ivy Lacsina stole the show for the Cargo Movers after putting up 16 big points built from 11 successful attacks alongside three service aces and two blocks.

The Cargo Movers went to Lacsina as her height and spiking power overwhelmed Foton and helped them take the early momentum in the game.

After scoring back-to-back clean hits to help the Cargo Movers pull away midway through the first set, F2’s setters just kept on finding the hot Lacsina.

Majoy Baron also had one of her best performances in the ongoing conference after contributing 12 points built from nine successful attacks.

Baron’s intimidation factor as their main middle blocker also helped F2 in the last two sets as her deflections in every Foton attack paved the way for most of their offensive setups.

Shaya Adorador, Foton’s top scorer since the conference began, was only limited to six points by the Cargo Movers while Jasmine Nabor had nine points and seven excellent sets for the Tornadoes.

The Cargo Movers just joined the Creamline Cool Smashers as the first two teams to already book a semifinal spot in the Invitational Conference.
