F2 Logistics Cargo Movers swept the last three sets after dropping the first against Generika-Ayala, 15-25, 25-16, 25-13, 25-14, in the Philippine Superliga Invitationals.
The Cargo Movers pulled off the dominant win even without star spiker Kalei Mau due to an Achilles injury.
With Mau’s absence Kianna Dy, Majoy Baron, Ara Galang, Kim Fajardo, and Des Cheng stepped up bigtime and took charge to lead their team to victory.
The Cargo Movers started with a shaky first set, troubled by miscommunication resulting to a lackluster defensive coverage.
Generika-Ayala wasted no time as they quickly pounced on the Movers net defense and floor coverage.
As the second set started, the veteran Cargo Movers team shifted gears, displaying a wide array of attacks and better net defense.
Generika had trouble containing F2’s offense in the three sets that would follow and were rattled throughout.
Cheng was named player of the game, chipping in eight attacks, 19 digs, and 8 excellent receptions.
