Ex-OFW nabbed for oral defamation case

ROXAS CITY, Capiz — Police served a warrant of arrest against a former overseas Filipino worker in Barangay Ilaya, Pontevedra, Capiz, on Friday afternoon, June 26.

Police identified the suspect as alias Moon, 56, a resident of Barangay Tabuc, Pontevedra.

The court recommended bail of PHP 18,000 for his temporary liberty in connection with an oral defamation case.

The warrant was issued June 23, 2026, by Judge Roman Almalbis, presiding judge of the Municipal Circuit Trial Court, Sixth Judicial Region, Panay-Pontevedra, Capiz.

The suspect is under the custody of the Pontevedra Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
