Filipino boxer rising star Eumir Marcial and his camp already arrived in the Los Angeles fight bubble and are getting ready for his first professional fight against American Andrew Whitfield.
Staying at the Mariott Hotel, Marcial is finishing up his final preparations under the supervision of legendary boxing coach Freddie Roach.
The highly-anticipated professional debut of Marcial will be on Thursday, December 17, 2020 (Philippine time) and will be his stepping stone in his road to boxing glory.
Going up against Whitfield who holds a professional record of 3-1, Marcial will look to bank on his two-month training under Roach.
“Turning professional is an important step in my journey to the 2021 Olympics in Tokyo. A lot of the fighters I may face in the Olympics have already turned pro so my professional training with Freddie will keep me at their level of experience when we battle in the Olympics,” Marcial said.
Marcial was accompanied by Manny Pacquiao (MP) Promotions president Sean Gibbons, assistant trainer Marvin Somodio, and coach Roach.
