Basketball fans at the University of San Agustin Gym Sambag Campus were left in awe after a scintillating performance from Enderun College as they ran over the University of Northern Mindanao, 87-42, in the UNIGAMES Women’s basketball semifinals match.
As the whistle was blown, the ooh’s and the aah’s from the fans can be heard all over as the Enderun women’s squad ran their offense like a well-oiled machine, executing 2 to 4 passes before a field goal was converted.
Speed-wise, UNM was also left in the dust against Enderun as they were always three steps ahead of the women in yellow.
The gym was also all praises to Enderun’s head coach as she drew out quick counters to what UNM put out both on offense and defense.
UNM tried to claw back in the third after scoring 8 straight points off two treys and two shots from the charity stripe but Enderun countered it with their own 10-0 run to deflate UNM’s morale.
The offensive barrage continued until the final frame as Enderun put on a show with ball fakes and flashy plays to the delight of the crowd.
