Two persons were arrested in a police anti-narcotics operation evening of June 17, 2022 in Mandurriao, Iloilo City.
Police identified the suspects as Joebert Salazar, 24, a construction worker, and Elizer Sabido, 40, a tricycle driver, both residents of Barangay Airport where the operation was conducted.
Members of the Iloilo City Police Station 5 led the operation against the two suspects after a two-week surveillance operation.
The two arrested persons are considered as street-level individuals (SLIs).
It was Salazar who allegedly sold a sachet of shabu for P1,100 to a police undercover agent.
Taken from the suspects were seven sachets of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of P68,000.
The suspects are now detained and will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
