ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A day-long Diskwento Caravan is scheduled by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Provincial Office on November 25 at the Cultural Center of Mambusao town.
The Christmas edition marketing event will gather the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the food and craft sectors as well as major distributors of basic and prime commodities to make goods accessible to the public at discounted prices especially amid the health crisis.
Initially, 10 MSMEs and 10 major distributors of basic and prime commodities have committed to join the Diskwento Caravan with the theme “Presyong Panalo Mamimiling Pilipino.”
The DTI project seeks to ease the financial burden of the consumers and provides additional or alternative market for manufacturers and producers especially the MSMEs.
The initiative is in time with the town’s religious fiesta in honor of its Patroness Saint Catherine of Alexandria but the feast – related merrymaking activities were shelved due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In 2019, a DC’s back – to school edition was also conducted in Mambusao and President Roxas towns. (PIA)
