To strengthen the management and sustainability of Shared Service Facilities projects, the Department of Trade and Industry Iloilo Provincial Office conducted a two-day workshop on the preparation of SSF operations manuals from June 9 to 10, 2026.
The workshop gathered partner-cooperators from various SSF projects across Iloilo and provided hands-on guidance on developing operations manuals for their respective facilities.
Ms. Mary Jane Tuares facilitated the workshop, with assistance from DTI Iloilo Negosyo Center business counselors.
The operations manuals are expected to help ensure that SSF equipment and facilities are properly managed, maintained, and used.
During the workshop, participants were guided in establishing clear operating procedures and management systems to help maximize the benefits of the facilities for their member-enterprises and clients.
The initiative is part of DTI Iloilo’s continuing efforts to strengthen the implementation of the SSF Program and promote the long-term sustainability of government-assisted projects.
By equipping partner-cooperators with the necessary knowledge and tools, DTI aims to ensure that the facilities continue to serve as valuable resources for local enterprises.
The SSF Program is a flagship DTI initiative that gives micro, small, and medium enterprises access to machinery, equipment, tools, systems, skills, and knowledge that may otherwise be difficult for them to acquire individually.
The program seeks to improve MSME productivity and competitiveness by providing shared access to technology, equipment, and other resources.
Through shared access to these resources, MSMEs can improve productivity, enhance product quality, increase competitiveness, and expand market opportunities.
Through activities such as the workshop, DTI Iloilo reaffirmed its commitment to empowering MSMEs and strengthening enterprise development initiatives that contribute to inclusive and sustainable economic growth in the province.
