NUEVA VALENCIA, GUIMARAS — The Department of Trade and Industry Guimaras, in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development – Regional Rehabilitation Center for the Youth Region 6, conducted a two-day training on entrepreneurship and simple bookkeeping for children in conflict with the law.
The training took place on Sept. 26 and Oct. 1, 2025, at the RRCY facility in Nueva Valencia, Guimaras.
It aimed to equip young individuals with practical and marketable skills to support their reintegration into society.
This initiative is part of DTI’s ongoing efforts to empower marginalized sectors and promote sustainable livelihood development.
Sessions included hands-on guidance in starting small businesses, managing personal and business finances, and understanding basic bookkeeping.
These skills are vital to helping participants gain economic independence and confidence as they rebuild their lives.
The program concluded on a hopeful note as participants expressed gratitude and enthusiasm for the opportunities ahead.
DTI pledged to continue supporting youth development initiatives, with the hope that these empowered individuals will become future entrepreneurs and responsible contributors to their communities.
