STA. BARBARA, Iloilo — The Department of Social Welfare and Development conducted a psycho-social debriefing to the bereaved members of Surmieda family at their residence in Brgy. Lanag, Sta. Barbara, Iloilo last week.
This, after four of their immediate family members, including the three siblings and eldest daughter’s live-in partner, died in a road accident last Feb 14.
The family is a beneficiary of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program for almost seven years already.
Maribel Gabayoyo and Maricel Robles, Social Welfare Officers assigned at the Iloilo Provincial Operations Office particularly under the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, conducted the one-day debriefing to comfort the traumatized couple Leonora and Elpidio and their children.
Currently, Municipal Link Irene Legaspi and Social Welfare Assistant Roy Pamocol, both are helping the family to avail the funeral assistance at the region. (MGC/DSWD)
