ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A former drug surrenderee was arrested during a police raid early Thursday morning, April 24, in Barangay Manayupit, Maayon, Capiz.
The suspect was identified as Jonefer Diller Dumalo, 41.
Recovered from his possession were a .38-caliber revolver loaded with one live round, a homemade 12-gauge shotgun, and 12 sachets of suspected shabu weighing 10 grams with an estimated street value of PHP6,800.
The operation was conducted jointly by the Maayon Municipal Police Station, the 1st Capiz Provincial Mobile Force Company, and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency–Capiz.
It was carried out under the authority of Search Warrant No. 19-2025 for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and Search Warrant No. 20-2025 for violation of Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act).
The warrants were issued by Judge Lorenzito B. Diaz of the Regional Trial Court, 6th Judicial Region, Branch 17, in Roxas City on April 22, 2025.
Dumalo is currently in the custody of the Maayon Municipal Police Station, and appropriate charges will be filed against him.
