Drug courier caught with PHP 442,000 shabu in Bacolod

BACOLOD CITY — The City Drug Enforcement Unit arrested an alleged drug courier in a buy-bust operation in Barangay 12 here on Tuesday.
Arrested was 28-year-old “June,” a resident of Barangay 31, who was tagged as a high-value individual.
Police seized from him 65 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP 442,000 and the PHP 1,000 marked money.
Police Lt. Richard Legada, assistant CDEU head, said the suspect reportedly earns PHP 500 for every five grams delivered to a customer.
He was allegedly actively engaging in the illegal drug trade in the said barangays and other villages here. A two-week monitoring was conducted before launching the drug bust.
The suspect is detained at Police Station 1 and will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
