Driver nabbed over road mishap that killed man, injured wife

A public utility jeepney (PUJ) driver was arrested for his involvement in a road incident that killed a man and injured his wife.
Kim Darwin Gemanga, 32, was arrested 6:45 a.m. of March 7 at his house in Barangay Agboy Sur, Leon, Iloilo.
Local police arrested Gemanga for reckless imprudence resulting to homicide, less serious physical injury, and damage to property docketed as Criminal Case No. 2267-22SM.
It can be noted that Gemanga was driving a PUJ plying the route Leon-Iloilo City (vice versa) when he collided with the tricycle of couple Romeo Sioson, 52, and Liberty Sioson, 51, both residents of Barangay 14, San Miguel, Iloilo.
While Liberty survived, Romeo died.
The incident happened October 2021.
Gemanga is now detained.
