Digido Introduces QR Ph for Streamlined Loan Repayments

Digital lending service Digido has announced the integration of QR Ph through its enhanced partnership with online payment gateway Dragonpay to offer Filipinos a seamless and efficient payment experience for their cash loan repayments.
The integration of QR Ph enables Digido clients to repay their loans by simply scanning or uploading a static or reusable QR Ph code via various electronic wallets or banking apps.
This development promotes open banking and financial inclusion, allowing for quick and stress-free transactions within minutes.
Under the guidelines of BSP Circular No. 1055, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas mandates all participating payment service providers, including banks and non-bank electronic money issuers (EMIs), to adopt QR Ph, also known as the National QR Code Standard.
The standardization of QR codes has streamlined the previously fragmented QR-driven payment services into a cohesive and interoperable system, ensuring safety, reliability, and operational efficiency.
Digido’s business development manager, Rose Arreco, emphasized the benefits of this initiative: “This initiative gives our clients much more flexibility when using their cash loans as well as facilitating positive loan repayment behavior.
The growing trust and preference for digital channels, including lending, should be met with integrations like these to increase access to timely financing options.”
Echoing this sentiment, Dragonpay founder and CEO Robertson Chiang said, “With the integration of QR Ph, this partnership highlights Dragonpay’s commitment to expanding digital payment access, aligning seamlessly with Digido’s mission to ensure underserved Filipinos gain safe and inclusive entry into the nation’s digital financial ecosystem.”
Clients can find detailed instructions on using QR Ph for loan repayment on the Repayment section of Digido’s official website and its social media pages, including Facebook and Instagram.
Digido also offers a “First Loan For Free” service, allowing first-time borrowers to avail up to PHP 4,000 with 0% interest. Repeat clients can access a Personal Loan of up to PHP 25,000. These services are accessible via Digido’s official site, its apps on Google Play and the iOS App Store, and Lazada Loans.
Digido, a service financed by Digido Finance Corp. (SEC Registration No. 202003056 and Certificate of Authority No. 1272), has received recognition from various prestigious award-giving bodies, including the Global Retail Banking Innovation Awards, International Finance Awards, and the Global Banking & Finance Review.
